Hours of Operation
Little Memories Child Care provides programs and services from 7:30 A.M. to 5:30 P.M. Monday through Friday. We also provide an extended pickup time of 5:45pm. We are closed on all statutory holidays.
Programs
Toddler Program (18 – 30 months)
Program combines a natural learning environment with planned activities to create a fun and safe space where children can explore the world around them. The toddler group will spend at least 30 minutes per day outdoors, weather permitting.
Pre-School Program (31 months – 5 years)
Program creates a learning environment in which children can learn both independently and alongside educators and peers. Pre-schoolers will frequently take neighbourhood walks when the weather permits.
School-Age Program (6 – 10 years)
Program offers before- and after- school hours as well as full-time summer care. During the summer months, our educators plan several fun and educational field trips.
Meal Program
Balanced, healthy meals are cooked in-house by our dedicated staff. All meals are nut-free and prepared according to the Canada Food Guide.
Children are encouraged to try a small portion of all foods. Second or third helpings will be given if the child wishes. Snacks are kept light to encourage a healthy appetite for supper.
If a child has an allergy or a special diet, parents are required to bring suitable meals and snacks for their child.
Fees
All Day Care fees are to be submitted by the first day of each month. All Day Care users will pay fees in full: when subsidies arrive the member will be issued a credit toward the next month’s fees or a deposit may be required. A deposit of $150.00 for the first child and $100.00 for each additional child will be paid by the parent to the Executive Director at the time of enrollment.
Child Care Fees (2022)
Children 6 years and under qualify for the Parent Fee Grant Reduction.
- Toddler (18 -29 months) – $217.50
- Pre-School (30 months – 5 years) – $217.50
- School – Age (6 -12 years) (60 hours or less per month) – $400.00
- School – Age Summer (Full Time – 90+ hours per month) – $590.00
Late Pick-up Fee: $20.00 every 15 minutes late past 5:30pm or 5:45pm depending on the contract time, per child. Must be paid in full the next business day.
Membership Fee $5.00
Subsidy
Parents who are low income may be eligible for subsidized care, parents can apply for subsidy through our centre. When you register your child you will be given a subsidy application form to fill out. In the following 15 days after subsidy receives your application, you will receive a letter from subsidy stating how much they will subsidize and what amount your parent portion is owed to the centre. It is your responsibility to ensure subsidy receives your paystubs each month and that they are aware of any changes in your information. Children are required to attend a minimum of 36 hours a month, failure to do so will result in no coverage from subsidy.
